An opportunity has arisen for a high calibre SHEQ Administrator to make sure that all health and safety procedures are followed accordingly. Performs all specialised administrative functions for the team in the SHEQ department, including calendar bookings, flight/accommodation reservations etc. Manages and maintains a comprehensive electronic and hard copy records system. Collates and compiles monthly SHEQ statistics and takes responsibility for document control and tracking. Arranges all training with approved suppliers and maintains a training matrix. Co-ordinates all SHEQ related meetings and QS audits, and ensures minutes are recorded and maintained. Creates purchase orders for the team.

Minimum Requirements • Matric • 1 year experience in a SHEQ environment • Microsoft knowledge • SAMTRAC or equivalent • Incident/Accident Investigations • Inspections and Audits • Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments • Reviewing of Policies and Procedures • Non-conformance Reporting • Reporting on Entropy • Emergency Preparedness • Ensure Material Handling Equipment constant and consistent availability for operational sustainability.
Duties & Responsibilities • In the event of an accident/incident isolate and conduct investigation • Conduct SHEQ inspections and accompany SHEQ Manager on Audits • Identify hazards and risks, report to SHEQ Manager and provide Mitigation measures • Assist in the review/updating of policy and procedures • Enforce the safety enforcement system, to ensure compliance to legislation and policy and procedure • Assist in the event of a crisis • Ensure all incidents/accidents are captured timeously on the Entropy system and monitor closure • Ensure all Material Handling Equipment operators conduct pre-start inspections. • Carry out inspections on all MHE, ensuring MHE is serviceable • Carry out weekly harness inspections. • Carry out trolley inspections. • Ensure maintenance schedules are determined and adhered to. • Ensure house-keeping is maintained. • Ensure that all equipment checklists are maintained daily. • Ensure that all equipment relating documentation is maintained. • Liaise with Warehouse Manager and DC Manager. • Compile incident reports relating to Material Handling Equipment. • Liaise with SHEQ Manager • Training
