Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Universal Banker (Level 1) to join our team in Parow, Cape Town. As a Universal Banker, you will be the primary point of contact for our Personal, Prestige, and Private Banking clients, providing comprehensive banking services and solutions.

  • Assist clients with a wide range of banking matters, from product inquiries to account activities
  • Accurately assess and understand client needs to provide efficient, one-and-done solutions
  • Open relevant accounts, process statements, and manage debit order information
  • Deliver exceptional customer service that consistently meets client expectations
  • Operate within product and legislative parameters, including FAIS regulations
  • Provide clear and concise explanations of banking products, services, and policies
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and recommend appropriate financial solutions
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking regulations and industry trends
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth branch operations
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Matric (Secondary Education Certificate)
  • National Certificate in Banking(NQF5 FAIS recognized qualification)

Professional Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of demonstrable sales experience in a financial services environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of branch operations processes and banking products
  • Proven track record in a branch banking or contact center setting, with in-depth knowledge of bank processes, policies, and product offerings
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on delivering professional and efficient client interactions
  • Proficiency in banking software and systems
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • Knowledge of FAIS (Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services) regulations
  • Experience in branch operations
  • Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting targets and KPIs
