State Information Technology Agency (SITA) invites suitable graduates to apply for Admin Assistant Vacancies in Mahikeng, North-West.

Purpose of the Job: To provide comprehensive administrative support to the sub-department, ensuring effective corporate support across the unit. Duties include preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as correspondence preparation, visitor reception, conference call arrangements, and meeting scheduling.

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Record and manage incoming and outgoing correspondence for proper record-keeping.
  • Prepare and distribute minutes, presentations, and office documentation/communication.
  • Arrange Bid Committees and write minutes.
  • Perform general office duties and coordinate worksessions and staff meetings.
  • Handle accommodation and flight arrangements for the sub-division in line with SITA’s travel policy.
  • Provide management support to the sub-departmental budget.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational quality standards in documentation requiring management approval.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum: Grade 12 (NQF level 4) plus a relevant recognized course (less than a year, NQF level 4 – certificate of competence). MS Office certification is advantageous.
  • Experience: 1 – 2 years in a relevant field.

Technical Competencies:

  • Knowledge of organizational principles, records management, and general administration.
  • Basic bookkeeping principles and computer literacy.
  • Office management skills, ability to operate standard office equipment, follow instructions, and proficiency in business and report writing.
