The company is also developing a portfolio in excess of 16GW of additional best-in-class wind, solar, and hydro projects to bid under future rounds of South Africa’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP) and other procurement programmes across various African countries, including the growing C&I market. Red Rocket’s growth strategy is based on pursuing a balanced portfolio of renewable assets in terms of geography, market maturity as well as currency exposure (ZAR, USD, EUR). Today, the Group has over 200 Rocketeers in South Africa and Uganda.

General Description:

  • Administrate and coordinate various aspects of renewable projects during the Transactions Phase.

Responsibilities:

General Responsibilities:

  • Offer general coordination support to the Transactions team;
  • Foster a close working relationship with other Red Rocket teams and external stakeholders; and
  • Support the Transactions team on the implementation of the Transactions procedure.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and set up multi-stakeholder meetings;
  • Support in managing supplier and advisor engagements;
  • Load and track payments on the Sage system to ensure suppliers and advisors are paid timeously;
  • Manage externally shared data rooms;
  • Assist in due diligence reviews, including the monitoring of information lists and uploading of documentation to data rooms;
  • Support on the execution of Transactions phase documentation;
  • Prepare project investment memoranda on PowerPoint;
  • Prepare flowcharts and financial close process diagrams;
  • Manage the Sharepoint filing of Transaction phase documentation and support on handovers of documentation to Asset Management;
  • Support on Conditions Precedent (CP) Checklists.

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Commerce (or similar) and/or Project Management qualification
  • Grade 12 Certificate

Minimum Previous Experience:

  • South African citizen is preferred.

Other Skills:

  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management;
  • Strong teamwork skills;
  • Strong working knowledge of Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
