The Gauteng Partnership Fund (GPF) is 100% owned by the Gauteng Department of Human Settlements. The vision of the GPF is to be a partner of choice in catalysing the funding and development of integrated and sustainable human settlements in Gauteng. Its core mandate is to serve as the funding and implementing agent for integrated, sustainable human settlement developments in the Gauteng City Region and custodian of strategic provincial land and/or property transferred to GPF for effective immovable asset management and coordinated, efficient implementation of mega human settlement developments. The GPF offers innovative funding products designed to share project risk with the private sector.

Position: Supply Chain Intern
Location: Gauteng Partnership Fund (GPF)
Role Type: Internship (Entry-level)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Sourcing:
- Identify and source suppliers from the Central Supplier Database.
- Quotation and Market Research:
- Compile and evaluate price quotations for products and services.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on supply trends.
- Procurement Support:
- Assist in creating procurement plans and quarterly reports.
- Help manage tender processes and participate in bid committee activities.
- Inventory Management:
- Support inventory management and perform monthly reconciliations.
- Travel & Contract Coordination:
- Coordinate travel arrangements and manage monthly travel reconciliations.
- Assist with contract management, including expenditure trend analysis.
- Reporting & Compliance:
- Draft reports and manage compliance with procurement standards.
- Support reporting on Economic Development (ED) and BEE compliance.
- Collaboration & Team Support:
- Engage in teamwork, brainstorming, and mentoring activities to enhance learning.
- Take on additional tasks as directed by senior management (CEO, CFO, or Line Manager).
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Educational Requirement:
- A National Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management (or a related qualification).
- Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills and time management abilities.
- A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong team orientation.
