Key Responsibility Areas
- Facilitates social housing delivery in the area of our jurisdiction.
- Facilitates linkages with the relevant stakeholders.
- Represents the Council on the Board of Directors for Independent Housing Institutions.
- Responsible for monitoring and evaluating the performance of Housing Institutions or Section 21 companies.
- Manages risk, budgets, cash flows and resources of projects.
- Responsible for identifying problems or difficulties that housing associations and Council service providers are experiencing.
- Investigates other forms of legal entities and tenure that could be implemented.
- Responsible for policy formulation for housing development in the Unicity area.
- Responds creatively to ad hoc requests that enhance the growth of Social Housing Sector
- Responsible for promoting social housing at Unicity wide level.
- Responsible for facilitating the development of holistic communities.
- Reports to Deputy Head (Formal Housing) on existing and planned projects.
- Responsible for managing subordinates.
- Provides expert advise on technical organisational, legal and financial matters.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Commercial studies or equivalent.
- Valid motor vehicle driving license.
- 5 Years relevant experience.
- Computer Literacy.
Preferred Requirements
- Post graduate degree (NQF Level 8) in Commercial studies or equivalent.
- 6 Years relevant experience.
