Element Six is a global leader in the design, development and production of synthetic diamond advanced materials. Part of the De Beers Group, Element Six is an independently managed global company with primary manufacturing facilities in Ireland, Germany, South Africa, US and the UK.
The Element Six Bursary Programme offers financial support for South African students pursuing Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) degrees in the following fields:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Metallurgy/Metallurgical Engineering
Expenses Covered:
- Full tuition fees
- Partial cover for study materials
- Accommodation
- A monthly stipend
Additionally, successful candidates will have the opportunity to participate in vacation work.
Eligibility Requirements:
To qualify for the bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be currently in Matric or have already completed Matric.
- Be studying or intending to study towards a BSc or BEng qualification in one of the specified fields of study.
- Plan to study at a recognized tertiary institution in South Africa.
- Have maintained a minimum overall average of 60% if currently studying.

- Cover letter explaining why you are interested in the bursary.
- Certified copy of your ID document.
- Certified copy of your Matric results or certificate.
- Certified copy of your full academic record if you are currently studying.
- Full Curriculum Vitae (CV).
