City of Joburg Municipality is inviting graduates to apply for Intake and Registry Internship Programme 2025.
Internship Position:
Designation: Internship – Intake and Registry
Department: Office of the Ombudsman
Branch: Intake and Registry
Remuneration:
- R9,960.45 pm (for candidates with a completed qualification of at least 360 credits)
- R3,500.00 pm (for candidates currently enrolled as students)
Internship Duration:
- Not exceeding 18 months
Requirements:
- Grade 12/Matric
- Diploma/NQF Level 6 in Business/Public or Municipal Administration
- City of Johannesburg residents only (applicants must live in Johannesburg)
- Must not have participated in any internship programme before
Key Responsibilities:
- Log and resolve customer complaints/queries efficiently, meeting targets set by the Office of the Ombudsman.
- Ensure compliance with POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act) and records management standards.
- Handle the full intake process, including logging complaints, managing customer expectations, and presenting complaints at weekly assessment meetings.
Skills & Competencies:
- Computer literacy and excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills
- Good planning and organizing skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team, with attention to detail and quality
- Strong commitment to Customer Service Delivery and Batho Pele principles (service to the people)
- Ethics and professionalism in all interactions
