Qualifications & Experience
- Matric (Grade 12). Bachelors Degree or relevant Post Graduate Qualification. Intermediate full MS Office and CRM capabilities and Cargo Wise Systems experience will be an advantage.
- At least 5 to 10 years Commercial Experience, preferably in the 3/4 PL and/or Freight Forwarding Industry.
- Demonstrable ability to manage and lead a team is an advantage.
Specific experience required:
- Strong Key Account / Customer Management experience, ideally worked in a Business Development and Commercial role before.
- Solid working knowledge within Customer Servicing, Sales, Business Development department before. Solid Track record in Freight Forwarding, Customs Clearing and Contract Logistics Industry and/or 3/4 PL. E2E Supply Chain experience.
- Need to have experience in Warehouse & National Transport/Distribution solution selling.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary role is to retain, expand and grow you current client base in term of volume and revenue, also to current prospect, develop and manage new business opportunities through networking and identifying potential new business.
- Responsible for client base growth profit / revenue generation.
- Sustains the growth of the company’s business by establishing extending and new business relationships within the particular industry vertical/s.
- Acquiring ideas, innovations and initiative for the particular industry vertical/s.
- Plan and execute robust communication internal and external (BIL Product heads and EMO Trans and agent partners).
- Present and consult at senior management level on business trends either a view to developing new service offerings.
- Ensure that bids/tenders/RFQ’s/RFE’s/RFP’s are conducted, reported and captured into CRM for all your team’s initiatives.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of complete line of products/services and client business issues and needs.
- Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events.
