Anglo American Mining Cadets Program (Entry-level)

Job Description:

The successful Candidates will be afforded an opportunity to enroll in an external Unemployed 4 months Cadet program.

The Mining Cadet Program is an enrichment program for the community and will enable you to develop skills with on-the-job/core training at Mogalakwena Complex. This Program will enable you to maximize your potential along with a tailored plan to provide you with a future to make a difference.

Qualifications:

Application requirements include the following:

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics or Mathematics Literacy and English.
  • Must have obtain a pass mark of 40% and above
  • Must be medically fit
  • Must be prepared to work on surface
  • Work in accordance to work schedule of area and could possibly involve working shifts
  • Must be a South African Citizen
  • Must pass the relevant psychometric assessment
  • Must pass K53 Simulator Assessment
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • South African Driver’s license will be advantageous

Important: Anglo American will only consider applicants from host communities. Applications without certified copies of qualification/s and proof of residence will not be considered.

Cadetship Conditions:

  • Must be prepared to work in the opencast dusty area
  • Work in accordance to work schedule of area and could possibly involve working shifts
  • Must be a South African Citizen
  • Must pass the relevant psychometric assessment
  • Must have a medical certificate of fitness or able to obtain one
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • A valid South African Driver’s license will be advantageous
