South African Breweries (SAB)
SAB is South Africa’s leading brewer and one of the nation’s most admired companies. The company operates 7 breweries and 42 depots in South Africa with an annual brewing capacity of 3.1 billion litres. Its portfolio of beer brands meets the needs of a wide range of consumers and includes brands rich in heritage such as Castle Lager, Hansa Pilsener and Carling Black Label.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Aligning the T1 operation and T1 productivity measures to global KPI’s and standards
- Defining T1 productivity KPI’s and PI’s linked to the overall Zone and BU Logistics strategy and goals (GFP; ATCT; WPS vs MPL; HL/Load; ADT; Load factor; Travel Standard Adherence etc.)
- Measuring, reporting and tracking productivity/ safety on daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis
- Identifying productivity improvement opportunities, preparing and closing out actions for routine MCRS Meetings with Director/ VP
- Analysis and engagement of carrier, brewery and DC activities and operations
- Creation of Carrier Scorecards (Dedicated and Non-Dedicated)- including Safety, ATCT, Travel Standard Adherence, Claims at a minimum.
- Managing the discussion between all stakeholders that impact T1 productivity (Weekly Carrier Productivity Meetings, Weekly BLM/ RLM SLA Meeting & Action Log Management)
- T1 Truck Sizing Modelling and Routine Truck Sizing Sign-Off aligning to business requirements
- Defining and updating T1 SOP’s for internal and external stakeholders
- Key input into the budgeting process for BU South Africa T1 Transport and Warehouse
- LCP- Accountable for Transport Scheduling & Transport Management Blocks for T1
- Project Management- scoping, engagement and execution of agreed projects
Minimum Requirements:
- 3-year tertiary degree, preferably in Supply Chain and or Logistics
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within Logistics
- Excellent presentation skills, able to convey a clear message
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong business acumen, having a wide understanding of other key ABInBev
- English proficient in writing and speaking
